This year’s Irish Aid Volunteering Fair will take place at the Printworks in Dublin Castle on Saturday 1st October 2016. It offers a unique opportunity to discuss the realities, challenges and rewards of the different types of volunteering placements. It is also a day to recognise and celebrate the central role that development volunteers play in helping to improve the lives of others around the world.

Irish Aid and our partners at Comhlámh are delighted to announce that 35 volunteer sending agencies, including Concern, the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, VSO Ireland, Volunteer Missionary Movement, Actionaid Ireland, Nurture Africa and Peace Brigades International, will be present with information stands in the foyer area of the Printworks.

There will be a keynote speech from Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development Joe McHugh T.D. at 1.45 p.m., followed by a panel discussion with experienced international volunteers, both Irish and non-Irish. There will also be workshops throughout the day on issues such as volunteer self-care and on fundraising.

Come along on Saturday to explore volunteering overseas possibilities for you.
