What we do
The aim of our aid programme is to reduce poverty and hunger, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa where the needs are greatest. By supporting long term development and providing humanitarian assistance in over eighty countries, on behalf of the Irish people, we are helping to build better futures for some of the world’s poorest communities.
Countries Where We Work
We concentrate support on a small number of countries, in particular, countries in sub-Saharan Africa, to reduce poverty and hunger

We have a particular focus on hunger and work in a wide range of sectors which contribute to sustainable and equitable growth
Dealing with Emergencies
We help to save lives by providing vital funds, supplies and personnel in response to humanitarian disasters
