Irish Aid Call for proposals to mark Africa Day 2010

Irish Aid, the Government’s programme of assistance to developing countries, wishes to encourage groups and communities to organise awareness-raising and educational events to mark Africa Day 2010.

Proposals are invited from community, sporting, education, and cultural groups with an interest in increasing public understanding of Africa including its development issues. It is envisaged that events will take place during the week of 15-25 May in the lead up to Africa Day, which takes place on 25 May. Irish Aid will promote the events and limited funding will be made available for a small number of initiatives. Organisations are invited to submit details of their event.
