Irish Teachers visit their partner schools in Africa and Asia
The October mid-term saw a continuation of the Irish teacher visits which started during the summer holidays. Irish teachers from WorldWise schools in Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Roscommon and Monaghan travelled to countries as diverse as India, Kenya, Vietnam, the Philippines, Ghana and Lesotho in order to visit their partners and to further develop their projects together. School links have been solidified, partnership agreements established, and there is a greater sense of understanding and friendship between partner schools as a result of these visits. Read about one of them here:Ursuline Secondary School Cork teacher visit to partner school Mutane Social Centre, Kitui, Kenya
Castleblaney College in Monaghan began the new school year on a high note by welcoming four teachers from their partner school, St Mary's Secondary School, in Accra, Ghana. Three other Irish schools hosted similar visits from WorldWise partners in September and October, and more are scheduled for November and December.
