Partner Teachers from Lesotho Visit Bray and Dingle

St Thomas' Community College in Bray hosted a visit from Mamphula Nyapisi, teacher of Geography at Malithuso High School, Mapoteng, Lesotho in late November 2008. She attended a Transition Year event in Maynooth along with a number of other schools from Dublin and Kildare as part of their TY Development Education module. She also gave classes on the geography of Lesotho to students in St. Thomas’ and met with fellow teachers. During her week-long visit she also collaborated with colleagues in the school to draw up a partnership agreement document that will help the partnership between Malithuso High and St. Thomas’ to develop in the future.

There are further activities with Basutho teachers James Obua and Tohlang Lenka from Morate English Medium High School in Kolonyama in January 2009, during their visit to their partner school Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle, Co. Kerry.
