Eligible Countries
Eligibility is restricted to developing countries. Irish Aid particularly welcomes projects that have a partner based in a country benefiting from Irish Aid support.
If the developing country in which your partner school or organisation is based is not listed please contact the WorldWise team at Léargas for clarification of its eligibility under the Scheme.
Please note that the Scheme is unable to support projects with countries to which the Department of Foreign Affairs strongly advises against travel. Partner country eligibility is subject to change: for updates on the Department of Foreign Affairs travel advice please see www.dfa.ie
Below is an indicative list of eligible partner countries. Please note applications will be considered by the Grant Committee on a case-by-case basis taking into account any security and travel safety issues at the given time in the identified partner country.
In addition Irish Aid and the Grant Committee may adjust the eligibility of particular countries due to safety concerns at any time.
