AN ADDRESS BY THE PRINCIPAL, NTATE ISAAC, TO WELCOME GUESTS FROM WORLDWISE TO MORATE HIGH SCHOOL ON SEPTEMBER 25 2008
(Edited version)

Twinning Morate and Pobalscoil is the most significant thing that has happened in the history of our school. This is the time when most schools are looking outwards beyond their boundaries in order to promote learning that will catch up with our rapidly developing world.
We as a school, because of certain factors, have found it difficult to join this demanding march to equal ourselves with other schools in other places. We therefore see our linking programme as an appropriate venture that will impact positively on both students and teachers, giving them more energy to pursue learning, and insight into different methods of conducting teaching and learning in today’s world.
We determinedly took a decision to be part of this twinning project in order to have a functional relationship with another school that will enhance the exchange of ideas, learning and teaching in the contemporary world.
We anticipate involving ourselves in educational and cultural activities whereby students and teachers taking part in the linking project will jointly carry out tasks of common interest.
We have resolved to use all means to ensure that twinning grows and takes root firmly so that the next generation of students equally reaps the fruits of this friendship. I and the school board are ready to put all available resources to consolidate, promote and strengthen this project.
