WorldWise is the Irish Aid Schools Linking and Immersion Scheme. It aims to raise awareness of development issues among Irish students, teachers and the wider community, and to heighten interest in and relevance of development education within the post-primary curriculum.

WorldWise provides funding to second-level schools and colleges that are involved in immersion and linking projects with partner schools or organisations in developing countries.

  • WorldWise Funding Allocations for 2009-10 The WorldWise 2009-10 round closed in March 2009 with applications received from 41 schools and four networks. The Grants Committee awarded funding to 34 schools and four networks. Individual grant amounts to successful applicants had to be reduced due to  budgetary constraints for the coming year. Read More
  • WorldWise Teachers' Forum On 25 April, forty participants attended the WorldWise Teachers' Forum in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel. Read More
  • WorldWise Visit to Partner schools in Zambia and Lesotho at Easter 09 Staff from WorldWise and Irish Aid visited 7 partner schools in Zambia and Lesotho before Easter. They discussed development priorities, met staff and students who had visited Ireland and linked up with a film project being carried out by Pobalscoil Choirce Dhuibhne and Morate High school.
