Learn about development
Schools programme
Primary and secondary teachers can bring their classes to free schools workshops on global development issues that include a guided exhibition tour. These 90 minute workshops are for Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE), Transition Year and Senior Cycle Geography second-level, and for third to sixth class primary level. Special summer workshops in May and June include global music workshops for primary classes.
Development workshops for third level students
We offer workshops to groups of third level students on development and the role of aid. These workshops help students explore issues of poverty and aid from different perspectives. Special methodology-focused workshops are available for B.Ed groups to help them to integrate global issues into their primary teaching.
Teachers can bring their classes to free schools’ workshops on global development issues.
Visit our multimedia exhibition
Explore life in Khulungira, a village in Malawi, through our multimedia exhibition featuring video and artefacts. See the everyday realities of this farming community where families are increasing their food production with the help of new scientific techniques. Families who tell their stories work hard to give their children a better future, asking not for gifts but for tools and information.
Free guided exhibition tours: Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
