Dear all,
The General Secretariat of the EU has requested Member States to propose candidates for seconded positions for the EU Police Mission in Afghanistan. Many of the positions require candidates with several years of extensive police operational experience, but other positions of interest are also advertised. The Department of Foreign Affairs is, in particular, seeking applications for positions based in Kabul or Brussels.
Please go to the Council of the European Union website to see the full list of job offer descriptions for both missions and also the application form.
If you fulfil the essential requirements, qualifications and experience specified for each mission and position, please complete the application form and email it to civilianmissions@dfa.ie by 5pm on Wednesday, 10 March 2010.
The EU are seeking highly qualified candidates with previous experience on civilian peace operations; a commitment to human rights and democracy; who are very physically fit and in good health without any physical or mental problems or substance dependency which may impair operational performance in the Mission.
Applications will be vetted by the Department of Foreign Affairs before being forwarded to the General Secretariat of the EU, who will conduct interviews and make the decision in relation to selection for the mission. |
